The safety light curtain is also the photoelectric safety protection device (also called safety protector, punch protector, infrared safety protection device, etc.). Mainly used in the collaborative work of humans and machines, in some potentially dangerous mechanical equipment, such as stamping machinery, shearing equipment, metal cutting equipment, automated assembly lines, etc., to protect the safety of operators. The current safety light curtain products are mainly divided into two types: linear scanning and cross scanning. The design adopts the linear scanning method. The safety light curtain is usually composed of an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver.
The safety light curtain is composed of an infrared emitting device, an infrared receiving device and an electronic circuit with MCU as the core. The transmitting end of the light curtain is equipped with multiple infrared emitting tubes at equal intervals, and the receiving end has the same number of infrared receiving tubes in the same arrangement. Each infrared emitting tube corresponds to an infrared receiving tube and is installed on the same horizontal line. When there is no obstacle between the infrared emitting tube and the infrared receiving tube on the same horizontal line, the infrared light modulation signal from the infrared emitting tube can reach the infrared receiving tube smoothly.
In the case of obstacles, the infrared light modulation signal from the infrared transmitting tube cannot reach the infrared receiving tube smoothly. At this time, the infrared receiving tube cannot receive the infrared light modulation signal, and the corresponding output is output to the control signal output of the external relay. Effective level, control equipment to stop or power off, so as to achieve the purpose of protection. The principle of safety light curtain detection is shown in the figure. The red line represents infrared, and the area covered by the red line is the protected area. The picture on the left is a situation where there is no object in the protection area, and the picture on the right is a situation where there is an object in the protection area.
